Chulu East Peak Climbing

Chulu East Peak, at 6,584 meters, is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal. It is part of the Annapurna region and offers a combination of trekking and technical climbing. The summit gives a close-up view of Annapurna II, Lamjung Himal, and the surrounding peaks.

The Approach Trek

The climb usually begins with a trek from Chame, passing through small villages, forests, and high alpine meadows. This part of the journey helps climbers acclimatize and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Annapurna region.

Climbing Experience

Chulu East requires basic mountaineering skills. You will use ropes, crampons, and ice axes on snow and ice sections. Guides provide training at base camp to ensure safety for first-time climbers.

Summit Day

The summit climb starts very early in the morning. The trail can be steep and challenging, but the reward at the top is unforgettable. From the summit, you see panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and other Himalayan giants.

Who Can Attempt

Chulu East is suitable for trekkers with good fitness and some experience with high-altitude walking. Previous climbing experience is helpful but not required if you have a trained guide.

A Memorable Himalayan Experience

Climbing Chulu East combines trekking, mountaineering, and cultural experience. It usually takes around 12–14 days, offering a mix of adventure, stunning scenery, and local hospitality.
